Law of Gender
I am going to start this by saying that this particular universal law is generally seen as one of the most misunderstood…and also one of the hardest to explain in my personal opinion, but here we go!
I am also going to preface this by saying at no point is anything meant to cause offence to anyone.
Right…that being said, lets jump feet first into this!
Ok…so gender is seen as masculine and feminine. The Law of Gender states that we must have both masculine and feminine energies (regardless of how we present) in order to thrive and be balanced. The law of Ying and Yang if you will!
So, let’s start off by differentiating between the two.
Masculine energy is said to be based within action, practicality, willpower, focus, and knowledge, to name a few. You might be accessing a little too much of your masculine side if you are a perfectionist, can’t sit still, and always on the go. Whereas lack of motivation, chaotic and impulsive would show that you are not accessing quite enough masculine energy (the fact that this would suggest that feminine = chaos, lack of motivation, and impracticality does not make me happy, but we move on) The happy, balanced masculine energy is shown in a natural leader, highly motivated, having big dreams etc.
Now, feminine energy is based around authenticity and knowing (obviously!) Nurturing, creativity and passion also come under the feminine umbrella. Too much would show in a lack of motivation or inability to make decisions (the feminist in me is not happy right now!) and too little is demonstrated in feeling unfulfilled, closed off and distant. The happy medium is pensive, supported ,and safe, and making those around you feel the same. Basically, you light up the room (hell YEAH YOU DO!!!!!).
To put it in “every day” terms, being masculine energy dominant would show in struggling with taking criticism and battling with perfectionism but excelling in dreaming big and being the person to take control in any given situation. Feminine energy dominant means struggling with your anxiety and neglecting your own needs, but also being the advocate for the underdog! You offer connection and are the go-to person for others needing an honest opinion.
You have already mentally worked out which one is more you, haven’t you?! Surprised?
Ok, to go back to the Ying and Yang reference, having a balance of both ensures that we are truly at our best, working and performing to our highest potential, both productively and creatively. However, just looking at what falls under which energy “umbrella” and figuring out how to get more of the other, can be daunting and overwhelming and frankly make you want to run away and hide (which screams feminine dominant energy by the way…ok, I’ll stop now!)
But it’s true. Consistently running on one more dominant energy than the other can create an imbalance which could mess up all of your hard work. Utilising both is when we are at our most powerful…and who doesn’t want that?! To be in balance means having both passion and logic. It means having an idea and taking action.
Even the fact that you are part of this programme shows that you are willing to explore the non-dominant energy in you. How? Well, if you are currently more feminine dominant, this programme is encouraging you to increase your masculine energy by focusing on your goals and honing your motivation. If you are more masculine dominant, this has been supporting you in taking time for yourself, developing passion and creativity.
And with balance, great things shall form (pretty sure someone said that somewhere at some point…maybe?!) We will literally be unstoppable.
That’s pretty exciting really, isn’t it?
So go, be powerful and unstoppable, and you will have the world at your feet!
