This month’s mindset focus is another opportunity to practise our REFRAMING technique.
Reframing our mindset provides us with an opportunity to think differently about a situation to discover a new perspective that is usually more positive or beneficial for us.
This month you will be reframing a negative thought or belief into a more positive one.
TASK:
This month, whenever you experience a negative thought, belief, or moment of self-doubt ask yourself the following questions.
Is that actually true?
Is this helpful to me?
What else could be equally true that is more helpful to me?
WHY THIS WORKS
Beliefs are not true, they are just a set of rules we choose to live by, but we act as if they are true. At any time we can pick another ‘better’ rule to live by and believe in. We just have to draw our attention to it first.
