Improving limiting beliefs

This Month's mindset focus is to make small changes to our language to gently improve our limiting beliefs in a realistic and authentic way.

Task:

  • Every time you think/say something negative or have a moment of self-doubt add the words “right now” or “yet” to the end of the sentence.

For example:

Negative thought - This feels really hard.

Change to - This feels really hard right now.

Self-doubt
- I can’t do this

Change to - I can’t do this yet.

Why this works: The use of “yet” and “right now” changes the negative sentences from permanent and impossible to move past -  to temporary with space to grow and improve.

By making our limiting beliefs and thoughts temporary, it feels easier to take control and take action to change them.
