Slowly changing my experience
It always feels special when a new week and a new month begin on a Monday, it’s like the ultimate clean slate. Don't you think? This August has me feeling all optimistic, happy and so so grateful.
I’ve been working super hard recently putting lots of plans into action, setting up people and processes in my business, and working on content for courses. Whilst this has been largely for the purpose of revenue/sales in the business - the side effect of this is that I will also be able to have most of August off and get to travel again (multiple times) over the next 6 months.
As of today: I’ve just wrapped up my final sessions with my private clients both accountability clients and mindset coaching clients, September's 8-week Ontrack Accountability Club is set up and ready to launch and welcome clients, Ontrack Coach is prepped, planned and final touches are being made ready to be re-launched in September, I have my Ops manager Sian who can hold the fort whilst I’m away and I have an associate coach on board to look after the Meant for This membership.
As someone who has been taught to believe "you have to work harder and longer to be more successful" - I can now see that I'm slowly changing my experience to ‘working smarter, so I can work less and earn more’ which feels so exciting.
I’ve also been having the most incredible 'work smarter’ experiences with clients. One of my accountability clients blew my mind and lost 10cms from her waist in 8 weeks - this wasn't a goal in particular - just a happy side effect of accountability, consistent training, and mindfulness around her calorie intake and what was ‘valuable’ to her. She didn't follow any kind of diet or workout "plan", she did sports, hikes, and training that she enjoyed. She ate food that she loves, including having picnics, the occasional chocolate biscuit and steak and chips. She went on the most incredible holiday to Switzerland and France and didn’t miss out on a single culinary experience.
This client was able to experience incredible results at the same time as experiencing a lifestyle she loves - all by working on the plans, processes, and habits that work smarter for her.
I think when you start focussing on yourself and the way life, business, and relationships feel good to you. Rather than what has worked for someone else - you have the opportunity to create your own version of freedom. We will always have to ‘work’ to some extent whether that’s chores and household jobs, careers, or our health - but when you finally do it YOUR way, in the smartest way for you, maybe you’ll find a happy dose of freedom in the daily grind.
I hope so.
